Quick guides
Requester quick start
Follow the core workflow: create projects, import content, issue jobs, review deliveries, and write back to drafts.
Requester
This page walks you through the complete requester cycle using the Starfall Odyssey demo project. Each step covers the primary path; see dedicated topics for details.
- 1
Create a project
In the sidebar "Projects" group, click New project, enter a name and slug, and click Create project. In the project tabs, Localization Kits is your content area, and Jobs lists issued tasks. See Projects.
- 2
Add content to a Kit
Open the Kit grid, edit directly, or click Import data → Local File → Choose a spreadsheet file to import files. The AI import plan identifies columns automatically; verify and click Start import. See Import files and AI import plan.
- 3
Commit as a version
Edits land on the shared draft first. Click Commit as version to freeze an immutable snapshot, or manage snapshots in Version history. See Drafts & versions.
- 4
Select keys and issue a job
Check the keys you need translated in the grid (use Select all matching rows to select filtered results at once), click Create job in the toolbar, select a vendor team, target languages, due date, and instructions in the assignment drawer, click Create job to save a draft, then open the job details and click Issue. See Create & issue jobs.
- 5
Track progress
The project Jobs tab lists all jobs. The Next step column tells you whose turn it is; click any job to check progress, brief, and discussion.
- 6
Review the delivery
When the vendor delivers, the job status moves to "Review delivery". Click Review delivery, toggle Only changes to inspect diffs against previous rounds, and submit your review at the bottom: Accept or Request changes. See Deliveries & reviews.
- 7
Write back to the draft
Once accepted, write translations back to the Kit draft: click Accept in the editor header to open the write-back preview, confirm items, and click Confirm write-back. Writing back updates the draft without creating a new version. See Write back to drafts.
