Teams and collaboration
Collaborator teams
Vendors connect as teams: create teams, invite members, authorize projects, and issue jobs.
Requester
Vendors do not join your organization directly. Instead, you create a "collaborator team", invite vendor staff into the team, and authorize the team for projects. When issuing jobs, you select the team.
Create teams and invite members
- 1
Create team
Click Teams in the sidebar, then click Create team: enter Team name, Description, and select an icon, then click Create team.
- 2
Invite team members
Select the team and open the Team members tab: enter the vendor contact's Email, choose a Role—Member or Team lead—and click Send invitation. They become team members upon accepting the email invitation.
- 3
Follow up on pending invitations
In the Pending invitations list, you can Resend or Revoke invites.
Team leads
- Team leads can view and manage team members; the member roster is only visible to team leads.
- In the roster, you can Make team lead or Remove team lead role.
- Clicking Remove team member revokes that person's access across all projects assigned to the team.
Authorization and deactivation
- Add the team to a project under the project's Collaborator teams tab; only authorized teams appear in the assignment drawer when creating jobs.
- Clicking Deactivate team in team settings immediately cuts off access across all projects and revokes pending invitations. Clicking Reactivate restores members and project access, though revoked invitations are not restored.
External collaborators
Vendor members appear in your organization as Collaborators (at the bottom of Settings → Organization → Organization members):
- External collaborators are not organization members; each record specifies their workspace, team, and role.
- Clicking Suspend here removes their access across all workspaces in this organization. Clicking Remove deletes their identity across all collaborator teams in this organization and revokes pending invitations sent to their email.
