Frequently asked questions

Fast answers to common questions: sign-in, drafts, job statuses, and file formats.

Sign-in & accounts

Not receiving login verification codes? Check your spam folder first. Clicking Resend repeatedly can trigger rate limits; wait a few moments before trying again. If the code expires, request a new one.

Where is interface language stored? Settings → Preferences → Language. It is saved in your local browser only; it does not change URLs or affect what colleagues see.

Kits & drafts

Does editing tables change published versions? No. All edits land on the shared draft. Content only freezes when you click Commit as version, and only takes external effect upon Release version.

If I remove a target language, are translations deleted? No. Clicking Remove in Language settings only hides the column. Re-adding the same language restores previous translations.

What happens if two people edit a draft simultaneously? Drafts are shared across the workspace; colleagues opening the same Kit see your changes immediately. If the draft is switched, the UI prompts a reload, and recent keystrokes will not apply to the new draft.

Jobs

A job still says "Review delivery", but it has already been accepted? This is known issue #186: after acceptance or write-back, the action card may still display that status. Rely on the "Accepted" and "Written back to draft" events in the discussion; see Current limits.

The vendor has not accepted yet—why is progress at 100%? Progress meters include pre-filled baseline translations. Verify true completion by checking the Details panel status and delivery events in the discussion.

What should I do with declined jobs? Vendors must state a reason when declining, which appears in the discussion timeline. You can Change schedule, reassign to another vendor, or cancel the job.

Does XLIFF import modify source text? No. Importing updates translation columns only; rows with modified source text are skipped, counted separately, and never automatically delivered.

Files & formats

Which import formats are supported? Local spreadsheet files (workbooks imported sheet by sheet); XLIFF supports .xlf / .xliff / .zip up to 20 MB, adhering to XLIFF 1.2.

Can .xls files be written back directly? No, writing back to original .xls formats is not yet supported; see Current limits.
