Getting started
What is Flow
Understand Flow on one page: Kits manage content, jobs manage collaboration, and versions manage releases.
Flow is a localization delivery platform. It brings what needs to be translated, who is translating, and whether it has been delivered onto a single pipeline, eliminating the need to chase progress through emails and spreadsheets.
A single pipeline
- 1
Content enters Kits
Each localization table in a project is called a Kit. You place keys, source text, context, and target languages in tables, which you can edit directly or import from files.
- 2
Edit in drafts, preserve in versions
All edits land in a shared draft first without affecting published content. Once verified, commit the draft as an immutable version snapshot.
- 3
Select scopes and issue jobs
Check items and target languages in the table, then create a job to assign to a vendor team. When you have large volumes, use publisher batches to split the work.
- 4
Vendors translate in the editor
Vendors accept jobs in My Jobs, translate segments with context in the in-context editor, and deliver the round when done.
- 5
Review and write back to drafts
Review the delivery against previous rounds with word-level diffs. Once accepted, write translations back to the Kit draft, which you can then commit as a new version.
Two roles
Requester Prepares content in project Kits, issues jobs, reviews deliveries, and writes back to drafts.
Vendor Belongs to a collaborator team, accepts jobs in My Jobs, translates, delivers, and handles rework requests.
One account can hold different roles across different workspaces. In pages tagged with a role, you only need to focus on what applies to you.
