Table grid

The main Kit interface is an editable grid: edit cells, filter rows, adjust columns—all on the shared draft.

Requester

Opening a Kit brings you directly to the spreadsheet grid. This page explains how to navigate it, edit content, and customize views.

Understanding the grid

  • Each row represents a Key, corresponding to a piece of text in your product.
  • Fixed columns include Key, Source, and translation columns for each Target language; custom columns (reference, short text, etc.) appear based on project settings.
  • Small badges in cell corners indicate status. Click Status legend to view meanings (untranslated, modified, locked, etc.).
  • The Table workflow panel at the top right structures the process across five steps: Prepare content → Draft → Branches → Review & commit → Versions & releases, with direct action buttons.

Editing content

  • Double-click a cell or start typing when selected to enter edit mode; all modifications land on the shared draft without affecting published versions.
  • Click New key to add a row: enter the Key name and column values. Key names must be unique within the project.
  • Click New Column to add custom columns: configure Column Name and cell type.
  • For bulk updates, use Import data; see Import files.

Customizing views

  • Sort and Filter: Sort by column and filter by criteria to display only the rows you need to work on.
  • Column header menus provide Sort ascending / Sort descending, Pin to left / Pin to right, Hide column, and column width adjustments.
  • Change history tracks every modification on the draft: who changed what fields and when.
  • Restore hidden columns at any time from column menus or the grid toolbar.
